The granddaddy of craft cocktail culture in New Orleans
The folks at Cure upped the cocktail game for the modern age in New Orleans. In 2009, business partners Neal Bodenheimer and Kirk Estopinal opened this establishment on Freret Street when it was still reeling from post-Katrina abandonment. The renovation of a former fire station made it possible to display its liquor on five long shelves stretching up over 14 feet high, truly an impressive sight. On New Year’s Eve, enjoy the seasonal cocktail menu along with a special selection of champagne and sparkling wine with no cover charge, but you may want to make a reservation.
