Paris: Saturne

Chef Sven Chartier & Sommelier Ewen Lemoigne’s modern Michelin restaurant is a local favourite for the casual but refined atmosphere, modern/creative seasonal plates and extensive natural wine list.

Saturne (an anagram for natures) is a perfect example of the new generation shaking up the old traditional system – no fancy tablecloths or stuffy uncomfortable service – just beautiful products on the plate in a casual but refined ambiance.

Their reputation speaks for itself; the room is packed daily with their peers, wine growers and international food & wine industry. Ewen’s wine list is exceptional. It reads like a who’s who of cult producers from France, Italy, Sardinia, etc… available by the glass, bottle, magnum or wine pairing.

Ava Mees (pron. Eva Maze) is an outstanding server & Sommelier – ask for her.

What to know before you go:

Please know that Saturne offers a set tasting menu of multiple courses planned in advance, which means that they ordered the ingredients just for the menu that day.

The rhythm of a French meal starts with vegetables, moves to seafood, then to red meat, cheese and dessert. This is what you will be eating unless you have food allergies. If so, say so at the time of booking so they can plan in advance, it will be too late once at the table.

If the wine list is too extensive, order the wine pairing.

Don’t expect fussy hovering service because it has a Michelin star – the team is professional, friendly and has been together since opening. They know their food and wine enough to be helpful – not pretentious – and leave you to enjoy your meal together.

Respect Your Reservation:

Confirm your booking before noon on the day of or in case you need to cancel, do so in advance.

If they don’t hear from you or if you don’t show up, not only do they lose business, they deny others who want to dine.

If you don’t confirm your table, they cannot guarantee your booking, and fifteen minutes after the time of your booking, the table can be replaced.
